An Announcement and Call for Papers has been issued for the Third Annual Green Building Power Forum (GBPF ’11) to be held January 24-26 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Jose, California.
“This is a rapidly growing commercial opportunity. The use of dc distribution can complement other trends in building power including the growth of ’green’ energy sources, use of wireless building automation systems, demand side management, the implementation of high-efficiency lighting, and more. And it can reduce construction and operating costs, improve flexibility and enhance sustainability,” stated Shepard, President of Darnell Group. “Building on the success of our first two Green Building Power Forums, we will again have an international group of speakers from Europe and Asia as well as the U.S. During last year’s GBPF, the EPRI/LBNL DC Power Partners announced a provisional specification for 380Vdc power distribution. We expect similar industry-leading announcements and developments at the 2011 GBPF.”
