TDK-Lambda has released a new range of medical-certified AC-DC
external power supplies with output power ratings from 40 to 65 watts. These supplies
are EISA and CEC Efficiency Level IV compliant. The DTM65-C series operate with
a universal AC input of 90 to 264 VAC (47-63 Hz). Typical operating efficiencies
are greater than 85%. Available output voltages include 5, 12, 15, 18, 24, 36,
and 48 V.
These external power supplies are packaged in low profile
and insulated enclosures that measure 2.72 in. wide by 5.2 in. long by 1.57 in.
high and are convection cooled (no fans needed). The operating temperature
range is 0 to 50°C at full load with no deratings required. All models are
fully isolated (4 kVac, input to output, per medical safety specifications) and
units from 12 through 48 V are California Energy Commission (CEC) and Energy
Independence Act of 2007 (EISA) Level IV compliant.
These highly efficient supplies include overvoltage and
short-circuit protections. Plus, the off/no-load standby-power-consumption is less
than 0.5 watt, as required by the latest green energy initiatives. In addition,
these supplies are certified to UL/EN/IEC60601-1 international medical safety standards
and meet EN55011 and EN60601-1-2 Class B conducted and radiated EMI standards.
Additional features include a recessed IEC320-C14 AC input
receptacle and a 3.4 ft. output cable with molded four-pin connector. Other
output cable lengths and connector types can be special ordered. These 40-65 W
supplies are ideal for powering portable medical equipment.
