Exar Corporation (Fremont, CA) introduced the XR75100, a new 40V capable switching controller in its line of DC-DC power conversion products. The XR75100 Synchronous Step-Down Controller supports point-of-load (POL) supplies from industrial 24VDC and 24VAC rectified sources. The patented emulated current mode Constant On-Time (COT) control scheme provides the fast transient response of conventional COT controllers without any of the compromises. Other features include:

• Industrial markets including medical, automotive, and instrumentation.
• 0.008%/V line regulation across the entire input voltage range and 1% output accuracy over full temperature range.
• A wide input voltage range of 5V to 40V.
• An adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to 30V.
