AdGorilla and LocalToolbox announced today that they’ve joined forces for a distribution and sales partnership for AdGorilla’s iCapture technology.
LocalToolbox, a provider of Web portals to the cable industry, will add AdGorilla’s “push2call” services to its technology options while AdGorilla will handle ad sales.
The iCapture technology allows any visitor to a cable operator’s web portal to request a phone call from customer service to subscribe, upgrade a bundled package, request support or ask about other additional services.
Customers provide their phone numbers their phones rings immediately. As customers are being connected to the operator’s customer service team, a full motion, contextually relevant video advertisement or other message from a content provider plays in the browser, with the same look and feel as the operator’s Website. The message can be of any length, but 15 or 30 seconds is typical. One innovation is that the synchronized sound for the video plays over the telephone connection. The iCapture service is provided to the website owner at no cost and the owner receives a portion of the video inventory for cross-promotional purposes.
LocalToolbox provides Web portals for more than 750 communities and 45 telecommunications companies, including Mediacom, RCN and Metrocast.
AdGorilla be showing iCapture, as well as discussing its partnership with LocalToolbox, at next week’s The Cable Show ’08 in New Orleans.
