Altice USA is offering Suddenlink internet service with an up to 1 Gbps download speed in Kingman, Ariz.., and the company has increased certain other Suddenlink residential internet speeds at no added cost to subscribers. As is often the case around gigabit rollouts, local politicians tend to cheer at the potential boon to business the speeds might offer.
“This is great news for Kingman,” State Rep. Regina Cobb says. “Altice USA, by offering this new Suddenlink 1 gigabit service, gives us an excellent tool to help attract business and provides our citizens with a great new option to maximize their use of all the internet offers.”
Altice USA VP of Suddenlink Operations Dan Spoelman notes that the gigabit service is available in all of the neighborhoods and households the operator serves throughout Kingman, and that local business owners also will have access to the new gigabit service, along with Suddenlink customized services capable of multi-gigabit speeds.
In addition to launching the 1 gig internet service, residential high-speed internet customers with current download speeds up to 75 and 100 Mbps have reportedly been moved to services with download speeds up to 100 and 200 Mbps, respectively, at no added charge. The Suddenlink 1 gigabit internet services also are available in Arizona in Flagstaff and Lake Havasu City.
Earlier this month, Altice USA also revealed it was offering Suddenlink internet service with an up to 1 Gbps download speed in Texas in Plainview and Floydada. Those areas also saw increases in certain other residential internet speeds at no added cost to customers in addition to the gig rollout.
