Amino Communications has added several multi-screen capabilities for its Aminet IPTV products when they are used in conjunction with partner Mineva’s iTVFusion 5 video service management platform.
Amino’s A140 and A540 HD devices are now fully certified with Minerva’s 5.4 client. The platform enables operators to deliver linear and on-demand video services to iOS and Android tablets and smartphones. Pay TV subscribers can also use these devices to search for content via a unified user interface.
Other new features include network recording for content streamed via HLS and improved integration of Twitter feeds with on-screen viewing. Amino said improvements have also been made to video on demand management, specifically with regard to making it easier for operators to manage multi-region service offerings.
Amino said its products have been used in over 150 Minerva IPTV deployments worldwide since 2003.
Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: “This latest certification will enhance our proposition to operators, combining new functionality plus the industry leading HLS capability and high quality our customers expect from Amino devices.”
“Amino worked closely with us to ensure the new iTVFusion 5.4 client features work seamlessly on their Aminet set-top boxes” said Mauro Bonomi, CEO of Minerva. “We continue to collaborate with Amino to deliver converged pay TV solutions that allow our customers to differentiate their services in an increasingly competitive market.”
