U.K.-based IPTV set-top maker Amino Communications said it will attempt to boost its U.S. presence after signing on Advanced Media Technologies (AMT) as a domestic distributor.
Amino, which counts SureWest Communications as a U.S. customer, said the arrangement will provide its customers with shorter lead times and “first-line” technical support. Under the financial portion of the deal, AMT will hold an undisclosed amount of Amino stock.
Florida-based AMT serves as a distributor for companies such as Cablematic, Cableserv, Fiberdyne, Ipitek, Motorola and Quality RF Services.
