Are you the poet of your engineering group? Do the romantic prose flow from your fingertips like sand through a hourglass? Do you live for Valentine’s Day? Did you woo your significant other with your sexy brain? Are you an engineer? If you’ve answered ‘Yes’ to these questions, do we have a contest for you.
EMA Design Automation has launched a new type of engineering competition called “Electrical Engineers Can Be Romantic Too”.
I assume other types of engineers are also romantic, but I have not confirmed this theory.
If you think that you are the most romantic engineer, you can enter by creating a unique electrical engineering Valentine’s Day saying. Then you can tweet your new tagline @EMA_EDA with the hashtag #EEsCanBeRomanticToo. If you’re not into Twitter because you’re simply too busy thinking great romantic thoughts a la Lord Byron, you can also email your ideas to emamarketing@ema-eda.com with the subject line EE’s Can Be Romantic Too.
Now, you don’t have too much time to enter. All entries MUST be received by 12pm (PST) on February 12. The company will be announcing the winner the following day and winner will receive a custom-designed Valentine with their saying, an EMA Messenger Bag and an EMA mug filled with chocolate.
Now, for those of you wondering what exactly an “engineering”-themed Valentine’s card entails, the company has helpfully provided some options to complement their competition.
But don’t get any fancy copy cat ideas. All submissions must be uncopyrighted originals, so put on your Valentine’s Day headband heart–we all know it’s hidden in your desk–and get out your quill and scroll.
While I’ve seen a lot of dark comments in the comment section, I haven’t seen a lot of Valentine’s Day -level romance, so I’m pretty excited to see what you all can come up with. There aren’t any Twitter comments with the hashtag #EEsCanBeRomanticToo as of publish time, so head on over and give it your best shot.
Good Luck and Happy Valentine’s Day!
