Arris CEO Bob Stanzione has assembled his new leadership team now that the deal to buy Motorola’s Home division closed yesterday. Former Charter Communications CTO Marwan Fawaz, who joined Motorola last year, won’t be a part of the new executive team, but Stanzione said in a company memo that Fawaz would stay on board over the next few weeks to help with the transition and then be retained over the next several months as a special consultant.
A spokesman for Motorola confirmed that Joe Cozzolino, who was SVP and GM of network infrastructure at Motorola’s Home division, and Matt Bell, SVP of strategy and technology at Motorola, would also help with the transition. Bell worked with Fawaz at both Charter and Adelphia Communications.
The leadership team, which is a combination of Arris and former Motorola executives, includes:
• David Potts will continue in his role as CFO, leading finance and IT
• Larry Margolis will continue in his role leading human resources and as chief legal counsel
• John Burke, formerly vice president, corporate finance at Motorola Home, will lead corporate strategy and development and converged experiences.
All of Arris and Motorola’s products and services were combined into two segments: home devices and network and cloud. Larry Robinson will lead the home devices business while Bruce McClelland will lead the network and cloud businesses.
Arris’ sales will be two separately run, but strategically aligned units: North America and International. Rob McLaughlin will lead the North America sales team and global marketing team. McLaughlin was previously SVP, global sales, market and operations at Motorola Home.
Ron Coppock will lead the International sales team and global sales operations while Jim Brennan will lead supply chain management and quality teams. Brennan was formerly CVP, supply chain and quality at Motorola.
