A week after getting approval from Germany, South Africa, Colombia and Portugal, Arris announced that it has received U.S. Department of Justice approval for its acquisition of Pace.
The DoJ approval comes without conditions, which was unexpected, as predictions had Arris having to divest some businesses in order to get full approval.
Arris is just waiting on regulatory approval from Brazil, and other closing conditions, for the deal to be final. Arris expects the deal to be completed either later this month, or early next month.
The deal approval should be good news to investors, who saw a downturn in Arris earnings last quarter.
