AT&T introduced a new version of its mosaic app for its U-verse TV customers. My Multiview now lets customers view up to four channels simultaneously – a main window with audio and up to three small windows with video only.
Subscribers can choose up to 55 channels to populate the My Multiview menu; channels can be swapped in and out. Viewers can tune to My Multiview to scroll through the picture-in-picture screens to choose which four channels to view.
My Multiview is customizable for each U-verse receiver in the home, the company said.
The original My Multiview apps were introduced in the fall of 2009; they included Sports Multiview, Kids Multiview and News Multiview.
Separately, AT&T introduced a promotion that gives new U-verse TV customers a $25 monthly discount on U-verse TV packages for six months. U-verse TV packages with a DVR now start at $29 per month.
