AT&T announced today that it’s offering its U-verse triple-play services in Charleston and surrounding areas in South Carolina.
The U-verse voice, video and data services are now available in parts of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, including the cities of Charleston, North Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, Goose Creek, Kiawah and Hanahan.
AT&T will be competing against Time Warner Cable in South Carolina.
“Cable has been the only game in town for too long, and we’re excited to change that today in Charleston,” said Alison Hall, vice president and general manager of AT&T North and South Carolina. “We know Charleston customers want a better choice to break free from cable, and AT&T U-verse is the answer. And we’ll continue to make U-verse TV even better for customers with regular upgrades and new, cool applications that enhance your TV experience.”
Earlier this month, AT&T’s triple-play suite of U-verse services landed in Guilford, Forsyth, Rockingham and Alamance counties in North Carolina – the Piedmont Triad. AT&T is competing with Time Warner Cable in the Piedmont Triad region, as well.
