AT&T said today that it would hit the 2 million mark for customers who subscribe to its U-verse video service, and it also announced its fastest DSL tier to date.
Over the course of the last year, AT&T has added 1 million customers to its TV service, which is available across 22 states.
And AT&T’s Max Turbo tier has a download speed of up to 24 Mbps and up to 3 Mbps on the upstream. Previously, the top download speed available on U-Verse was 18 Mbps.
AT&T’s new service is currently available to residential and business customers in Austin and San Antonio, Texas, and in St. Louis. AT&T said Max Turbo would be available in more of its U-verse markets in the future.
AT&T has been making a late-year push to increase its subscriber base by offering bundled services, which now include Max Turbo. The service costs residential customers $65 per month, under current promotional offers, as part of a bundle with AT&T U-verse TV.
New residential U-verse customers who bundle U-verse TV (U200 or higher) and U-verse Internet (Pro or higher) with Wireless 450 (or higher) or U-verse Voice Unlimited will receive $200 back.
AT&T U-verse high-speed Internet Max Turbo is available to eligible small business customers for $95 per month.
