Atlantic Broadband has bolstered its presence in the burgeoning South Florida communications sector by partnering with Miami Data Vault.
The deal allows Atlantic Broadband to offer its suite of commercial services to businesses via Miami Data Vault’s data center and coloction facility. As part of the partnership, Miami Data Vault will add Atlantic Broadband to its carrier-neutral offering. On the flip side, the partnership also opened up Atlantic Broadband’s all-fiber access network to Miami Data Vault’s customers.

Miami Data Vault is a locally owned and operated data service facility that serves as a connectivity hub for numerous clients across all business sectors. Its Category 5 rated structure, which was built outside of the 500-year flood plain, offers clients storm and flood protection, and is backed up by redundant emergency generators and UPS systems that were designed to withstand natural, technological and human disasters.

Atlantic Broadband, a subsidiary of Canada’s Cogeco Cable, added a Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) compliant 10 Gigabit Metro Ethernet service to its business services roster in October of last year.
Earlier this year, Atlantic Broadband launched a PRI and SIP trunking offering, called FlexTrunk, to customers across its footprint, which also includes Western Pennsylvania, Maryland/Delaware, and Aiken, S.C
