Given the growing number of WiFi-enabled devices used by residential and business broadband subscribers, strong and consistent access to WiFi is something operators are increasingly paying a lot more attention to in order to keep customers pleased. One of the latest examples is Atlantic Broadband, which is rolling out new home and small business WiFi services this month utilizing wireless mesh access points (APs) from AirTies.
Atlantic Broadband’s new Enhanced Home WiFi service reportedly offers a seamlessly extendable wireless mesh network that provides complete WiFi coverage, no matter the size or shape of a home. It also provides video stream prioritization that helps eliminate buffering, and capabilities like WiFi noise cancelling and connection steering so customers get the best possible signal. Subscribers also can access an app to monitor and manage their home network.

The new Atlantic Broadband Enhanced Business WiFi service will also offer the latest WiFi AC protocols, and a wireless mesh network with multiple access points that can be located anywhere near a power outlet to provide complete WiFi coverage throughout the business. The business option also provides a management app that reportedly makes it easy to set up a separate, secure guest network in an office or waiting room.
