Starting tomorrow, AT&T will roll out a new all-in-one ‘unlimited’ plan for DirecTV and U-verse TV customers.
This means that customers with U-Verse high speed internet and the DirecTV package will be able to use unlimited data as well as unlimited talk and text. It’s part of an initiative to integrate the high-speed internet service with video streaming and mobile gaming.
AT&T will continue to link its video and data services to its television and internet packages in the coming year: the company plans to release more integrated video and mobile offers in 2016, as well as additional video entertainment options.
“Video traffic continues to grow on our network as fast as ever,” said Ralph de la Vega, CEO of AT&T’s mobile and business solutions.
The plan starts at $100 per month, with $40 for additional lines and a fourth line for no additional charge. Other plans offer packages for customers interested in adding AT&T wireless to their DirecTV or U-Verse TV plans: $500 in credit can be allotted to a customer adding the AT&T Unlimited Plan to their existing subscriptions with an eligible trade-in, and AT&T wireless customers who want to add a DirecTV package can do so for $19.99 per month for 12 months under a 24-month agreement.
“We’ve got the content consumers want, we’re delivering it to the devices they want, and we’re making it as easy as ever for them to consume as much as they want,” de la Vega said. “And, they will get a high-quality video streaming experience from the start. No compromises in video quality.”
