AT&T will make more than a few price adjustments to its U-verse TV and voice offerings in the new year, the carrier recently announced.
The shift will see the cost of the monthly U-family and U-family All subscriptions increase by $2 and the price of the monthly U100, U200, U200 All In, U200 Latino and U200 Latino All In plans go up by $3. Pricing for the U300, U300 All In, U300 Latino, U300 Latino All In, U400, U450, U450 All In, U450 Latino and U450 Latino All In will also increase by $4 per month. The monthly price for the Voice 1000 plan will change to$30 for all customers and the Voice 250 plan will increase to a total of $27.
Additionally, the cost of each billed non-DVR TV receiver on the account will increase by $1 per month and the Regulatory Video Cost Recovery Charge will increase by $0.01 per month, the carrier said.
Most markets will also see a $1 increase in the Broadcast TV Surcharge to allow the carrier to recover charges from local broadcast stations. However, the Broadcast TV charge increase will only be 46 cents in Detroit, Mich., Biloxi, Miss. and Wilmington, N.C.
AT&T said the increases are being implemented to offset higher programming and service delivery costs.
The new billing will go into effect on Jan. 28, though those on discount pricing plans will be able to keep their reduced rates until their promotion ends.
