AT&T U-verse subscribers can now tune into ESPN’s WatchESPN web portal to view live sporting events on their smartphones and tablets via the WathcESPN app.
AT&T customers who subscribe to ESPN’s linear networks can now stream live events and programming from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPNU. Additionally, subscribers can also watch ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater through WatchESPN when those channels are in season.
The ESPN content is also supported through ESPN on Xbox Live to Gold members. The free WatchESPN app works on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices, although the latter requires OS 4.0 or later, and Android phones and tablets running version 2.3.3 and above.
In addition to the ESPN stable, Disney Junior will be available to AT&T U-verse TV subscribers on Friday. Down the road, additional authenticated products, including, Watch Disney Channel, Watch Disney XD and Watch Disney Junior, will become accessible across a variety of platforms and devices both in-home and out-of-the-home to U-verse subscribers.
