AT&T has found a way to get SEC football fans into the game by enabling a new “Talk Back” feature that allows them to interact with sports celebrities during live games.
Talk Back is a second-screen feature that works via the U-verse App for Tablet or via a web portal. Viewers are able to submit their questions and watch live as sports celebrities answer them. Talk Back will make its debut during SEC football games, starting with this Saturday’s tilt between the University of Arkansas and formerly top-ranked Alabama.
Former University of Arkansas running back Felix Jones, who was a first-round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys and played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburg Steelers, and former University of Alabama quarter back John Parker Wilson will be answering viewers’ questions during Saturday’s game. Wilson played for the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Pittsburgh Steelers during his NFL career.
Talk Back users type their questions in a text field on the feature’s screen before watching a live video stream that features the sports celebrities’ answers.
“AT&T U-verse is providing a TV-watching experience unlike any other provider,” said Mel Coker, chief marketing officer, AT&T Home Solutions “It’s always been our mission to provide customers with an interactive experience, and with Talk Back, you’re not just a spectator—you’re part of the action.”
No login credentials are required on the Talk Back web portal. U-verse subscribers can log on to the U-verse App on their tablet device to access Talk Back during the games.
