Aurora Networks will be showing its RF over Glass (RFoG)/RFPON, cell tower backhaul, Fiber Deep and LcWDM segmentation technologies at the CableNet display area of next month’s Cable Show in Los Angeles.
The company’s RFoG/RFPON technologies enable cable operators to offer high-bandwidth data services, while providing an evolutionary path for the migration of RFoG networks to pure PON capabilities.
The company’s end-to-end cell tower backhaul solution enables cable operators to use deployed fiber networks and nodes to support the backhaul needs of wireless operators.
Aurora Networks said its Fiber Deep and LcWDM technologies help a cable operator to efficiently drive more bandwidth to subscribers. Fiber Deep reduces the number of homes served per node, eliminating the need for RF amplifiers.
LcWDM technology from Aurora Networks is for node segmentation and enables cable operators to increase network capacity without requiring the deployment of additional fiber in their networks.
CableNet is co-sponsored by CableLabs and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association as an exhibit within an exhibit where technology companies have an opportunity to showcase their innovative solutions. The Cable Show will take place from May 11-13.
