Hey, dummy
Meet Thor-50M, more formally known as the Test Device for Human Occupant Restraint. Developed by Cellbond in the UK, Thor has his own built-in data acquisition system and plays a big part in European safety performance assessments known as Euro NCAP. Thor includes a fully instrumented pelvis similar to the one held here by Cellbond business development manager Petros Goutas. (For the smart alecks in the audience, Goutas is the one on the left.) The pelvis Goutas holds in the photo is actually from a different dummy called WIAMan that is frequently used in blast tests. Cellbond supplies parts for WIAMan.
