How much torque? This wireless transducer knows
The AxialTQ is a torque measurement device that consists of a rotor (held here by Interface Inc.’s Brian Peters), stator, and an output device. The rotor senses torque with a what Interface Inc. calls a high-precision element and strain gauges. Its electrical output is digitized and beamed out to the stator, which also powers the rotor via a coil that can be up to 6 mm from the spinning rotor. The rotor/stator communication is through a 2.4 GHz link. There are various accuracies available to handle different applications, and rotors that handle eight different torque capacities.
