AVX Corp. will increase its fourth-quarter dividend by 22
percent to 5.5 cents per common share, the company said
Thursday.
The electronic components maker, based in Fountain Inn, S.C.,
said it will distribute the payments on March 7 to shareholders of
record as of Feb. 18.
AVX makes electronic components and connectors for industries
such as telecommunications, information technology hardware,
automotive electronics, medical devices and consumer electronics.
It is a subsidiary of the manufacturing conglomerate Kyocera Corp.,
based in Japan.
AVC shares dropped 16 cents to close at $15.69.
