Coming at the issue from the mobile side, Azuki Systems has introduced its three-screen system designed specifically to enable cable’s TV Everywhere thrust.
Azuki’s Media Everywhere supports all major mobile operating systems, including Apple, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone 7, on both smartphone and tablet devices.
Azuki prides itself on its cross-platform expertise. That, combined with its particular approach to prepare protected content with dynamic adaptive streaming for distribution-ready delivery, results in an optimized and cost-effective delivery of video to any device, over any network, the company said.
“Until today, TV Everywhere was far too difficult and expensive to deploy. It was essentially a story of unrealized potential,” said John Clancy, president and CEO of Azuki Systems.
Clancy said the system could be deployed in under 90 days.
Azuki Media Everywhere enables MSOs to implement a “multi-screen” strategy that prevents customer loss to over-the-top video and creates opportunities to increase average revenue per user such as ad insertion, freemium to premium conversions, and additional pay-per-view opportunities.
