Starting tomorrow, BlackArrow and NDS will be demonstrating their DVR ad-substitution product for the first time in public at the IBC show in Amsterdam.
At the NDS booth, BlackArrow will showcase various scenarios that demonstrate how advertisements inserted locally on DVRs can be used to help advertisers create targeted campaigns.
The demonstration will show how operators and programmers can utilize the BlackArrow Advanced Advertising System to manage advertising sales, targeting and decisioning, as well as how they can use NDS Dynamic to target, deliver, seamlessly insert and measure advertisements – for both linear and on-demand DVR-based addressable advertising.
“The goal of addressable TV advertising is to deliver the best possible spot, regardless of how the viewer is accessing the programming,” said Chris Hock, senior vice president of product management at BlackArrow. “Our DVR ad-substitution demonstration illustrates how we can partner with best-of-breed providers like NDS to help cable system operators and content programmers leverage the potential of the DVR to create a viable and powerful platform for addressable advertising.”
Earlier this year, BlackArrow and NDS announced a strategic alliance that also included NDS Group serving as the lead investor in a $20 million round of new funding for BlackArrow.
