BlueStream Professional Services, a KGP Company, wrapped up the purchase of a handful of assets from AFL Network Services’ EF&I business on Monday, leaving it set to take over the EF&I Management Team and approximately 300 AFL associates to BlueStream, as well as some specific customer contracts and projects.
“We are excited for the EF&I division to become part of the BlueStream organization,” said Mike Booth, President of AFL’s Network Services division. “Together, we will continue to provide world-class professional services that will complement the transformation of our customer’s networks to meet the growing bandwidth demands of the ICT industry.”
BlueStream did not disclose the final cost of the transaction nor the specific assets it purchased. However, the company did say it would acquire engineering, project management, field technician and professional support associates from EF&I.
Matt Glass, chief operating officer of BlueStream, said the addition of AFL’s EF&I capabilities strengthens his company’s position, as the Core and Edge undergo transformations to software defined networks.
“The combined capabilities extend BlueStream’s ability to support legacy networks while enhancing our solution offering to customers in this new dynamic environment. This acquisition will extend our national footprint, yielding a strong BlueStream presence in all 50 states,” Glass said.
