AT&T has debuted a new Smart Home manager tool that gives customers an easier way to control and customize their home WiFi network.
Available to AT&T Internet customers, the tool is available for use on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Through a dashboard interface it gives users the power to perform tasks like setting up a guest network and inviting guests via text or email; view who is connected to the WiFi network and personalize device names; and see and update the WiFi network name and password.
AT&T said customers can access the tool through the myAT&T site or app under the “My Internet” section. The feature will be available to AT&T Internet customers as a standalone smartphone app by the end of the year.
