Comcast Business announced a network expansion to the Redmond-Woodinville business district in Washington, bringing a full range of Ethernet services to nearly 100 businesses in the 150th – 170th block of Woodinville/Redmond Road. Comcast Business invested more than $100,000 to bring fiber and coaxial cable to area businesses that range from construction and manufacturing firms to fitness centers and wineries. These businesses will soon have access to Ethernet service of up to 10 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps), in addition to the Comcast Business services already available there, including WiFi, TV and advanced voice services.

Westcon is launching a scalable, cloud-delivered solution powered by Avaya IP Office for its reseller customers. The Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solution will be marketed through Westcon’s broad base of solution providers to their end-user customers. The UCaaS solution Powered by Avaya IP Office is the latest offering between Westcon and Avaya, who have provided world-class telecommunications products and services together for more than 25 years. Westcon is Avaya’s largest global distributor.
Tata Communications announced that it has successfully conducted trials of new Low Power Wide Area Network1 (LPWAN), based on LoRaTM technology for connected devices and Internet of Things (IoT) applications across Mumbai and Delhi. Tata Communications plans to roll out India’s first LoRaTM network across the country, with full coverage starting in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The first phase targets to cover 400 million people across Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 cities.
