Ericsson and Orange announced a trial of devices and enhanced network capabilities for Cellular IoT over GSM and LTE. IoT is a rapidly growing segment and, according to the Ericsson Mobility Report, there will be 28 billion connected devices by 2021.

The new AfterMaster TV eliminates the issue of distorted and inconsistent sound levels. The AfterMaster TV box is not much bigger than an iPhone and connects via HDMI cables, between an A/V source and a television. Anritsu Company introduced an E-band option for its ShockLine MS46500B series of 2- and 4-port performance Vector Network Analyzers. With the option installed, the MS46500B series can verify the performance of high-frequency passive components, such as antennas, filters, and duplexers, during manufacturing. In addition to the E-band frequency capability, Anritsu also introduces 20 GHz and 40 GHz options for the ShockLine MS46500B series.
Space Systems Loral announced that it has been selected to build a high throughput communications satellite for Telesat. The new spacecraft, called Telstar 19 VANTAGE, will have two high throughput payloads, one in Ku-band and the other in Ka-band, to serve growing markets in Latin America, the North Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean and Northern Canada.
