The International Criminal Court will provide the world press with an on-premise content distribution network, called the Public Broadcast Control Room, through a recently signed contract with Globecomm.
Rentrak, a company specializing in measuring movies and TV everywhere, today announced an agreement with Katz Television Group, a television sales company. The new agreement will provide Katz with Rentrak’s full suite of local market ratings services, including its automotive and political Advanced Demographics, for all common client stations.
Cal Test Electronics announces an upgrade to its 50 Ω BNC Feed-Thru Terminator along with the introduction of 2 new models with impedances of 75 Ω and 93 Ω. The improved model CT2944, now designated CT2944-50, features an increased 2 GHz bandwidth and an impedance tolerance of ±0.25 Ω. In addition, its accuracy is now 0.5%. The CT2944’s BNC female coaxial connector is gold plated for lower contact resistance and corrosion protection. Use the improved CT2944-50 to match a 50 Ω coaxial cable to a 1 MΩ oscilloscope, a 1 MΩ probe to a 50 Ω input instrument, or anywhere impedance matching is a must for measurement accuracy.
Frontier Communications Corporation and the Communications Workers of America District 9 (CWA) announced the signing of an agreement that will benefit CWA-represented employees and Frontier’s future customers in California. The agreement is an important step forward in the process to complete Frontier’s planned acquisition of Verizon’s wireline business assets in California. The CWA, representing approximately 3,400 Verizon employees in California, supports the proposed acquisition and believes approval of this transaction is in the public and employees’ interest. Under the agreement, and after the transaction closes in the first half of 2016, Frontier will increase its workforce in California with at least 150 new, union-represented positions. The agreement also provides for new customer service jobs in California.
