Incognito Software Systems announced that two Chinese cable and high-speed data providers with a combined total of more than 21 million subscribers, Guangdong Provincial CATV and Chongqing CATV, are using the Incognito Auto Configuration Server. The two service providers plan to utilize the solution to help bring new services such as IPTV, WiFi and gaming to market.
South Korean operator LG U+ is extending its use of the Arris E6000 Converged Edge Router (CER) to deliver gigabit speed broadband services across its entire nationwide footprint. This expansion news follows an initial deployment of E6000 CERs in major cosmopolitan areas in South Korea last year.
MaxLinear announced that cable operators in the Chinese cities of Yueqing and Yuxi will deploy broadband customer premise equipment using MaxLinear’s c.LINK 1.1+ access technology. The Yuxi cable system serves a city of 2.5 million people located in the Yunnan Province in central China. The Yueqing cable system is built for a community of more than 1 million people in the Zhejiang Province in eastern China.
