Siklu has been selected by Portland ISP Stephouse Networks as the primary supplier for Gigabit wireless connectivity. Following a number of projects with Siklu mmW solutions in the northwest region, Stephouse has again selected Siklu to deliver high throughput with simple and fast deployments. Stephouse will utilize Siklu’s full line of EtherHaul millimeter wave radios to provide broadband internet services to homes, as well as SMBs, and larger corporations.
Altera Corporation is attending the SCTE Cable Expo in New Orleans, October 13-16 (Booth #3135), to demonstrate a new, flexible and upgradeable silicon solution for multi-service operators (MSOs) that enables the next-generation of cable architectures at the same low power consumption levels as ASICs. The Altera DOCSIS Remote (MAC) PHY design, which is being demonstrated with partners Analog Devices, and Capacicom, enables cable operators to more efficiently meet the need to segment cable networks, driven by the demand of high-speed Internet, unicast 4K video and other multimedia content.
Muvi Studio, a cloud-based video streaming platform by New York-based tech firm Muvi LLC, has announced the release of its Roku App for its clients. With the launch of its Roku app and the recent launches of Apple TV and Chromecast support, Muvi’s clients like TV networks, broadcasters, studio’s and video content owners looking to launch their own VOD services can now go multi-screen. At the time of publishing, ISKCON’s VOD Service has become the first platform to launch its Roku App with Muvi Studio.
Ericsson today announces that Entel, based in Santiago, Chile, will undergo a Digital Telco Transformation. The transformation will be enabled with a range of OSS/BSS solutions from Ericsson and its partners, as well as consulting and systems integration services that support Entel’s full business and portfolio. The multi-year deal represents a landmark digital transformation initiative in Latin America, and will help Entel to achieve high levels of operational agility and improved service delivery across its operations in Peru and Chile.
