Vodafone Portugal has integrated Ericsson‘s Media Delivery Network for online video. The deployment is intended to enable Vodafone Portugal to locate and manage content within its local network by utilizing a virtualized architecture to deliver content closer to the end user.

The U.K. government’s Home Office has signed the “Lot 2” contract with Motorola Solutions for user services for its new Emergency Services Network (ESN). Motorola Solutions will also provide system integration and critical functionality for the new public safety long term evolution (LTE)-based network, expected to be relied on by more than 300,000 emergency and public service users at more than 300 agencies across Great Britain.
