With the onset of summer, Bright House Networks has added eight new family-friendly channels into its programming lineup.

The new HD and SD programming additions were Great American Country (GAC), BlueHighways TV, Inspiration, BYUtv, Family Net,  Jewish Life, Pentagon TV, and NASA Public.

Over the course of this summer, Bright House Networks said it would sponsor and participate in local family events and festivals throughout its service areas. The company will distribute special “family fun packs” at events that include sunglasses, beach balls, coloring books and more.

Bright House Networks, which is the nation’s sixth-largest cable operators, is also sending out free gifts, while supplies last, to customers that fill out an online form in regards to its family-orientated programming.
