Bright House Networks announced that Stephen Colafrancesco was promoted to the position of corporate vice president of marketing.
Colafrancesco will start his new job on Feb. 8. In his new role, he will have overall responsibility for all marketing activities for Bright House Networks operations throughout the company’s footprint including systems in Bakersfield, California; Birmingham, Alabama; Detroit, Michigan; Indianapolis, Indiana, Orlando (Central), Florida and Tampa, Florida.
Colafrancesco will report directly to Kevin Hyman, executive vice president of cable operations for Bright House Networks and will be located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Orlando.
He joined Bright House Networks in 2000 as director of premium brands in the Central Florida Division, where he ultimately moved up to the senior director of marketing position. In 2004, he was promoted to vice president of marketing and new business development in the Tampa Bay Division where Bright House Networks was one of the first cable operators to compete directly against Verizon’s FiOS services.
“Steve Colafrancesco has been instrumental in successfully leading the Tampa Bay Division through a time of increased competition,” said Hyman. “His experience will be an asset as we move into a new era of service to our customers and in our pursuit of new consumer markets and business opportunities throughout all of our markets.”
Before joining Bright House Networks, the country’s sixth-largest cable MSO (seventh if Verizon is included in the list), Colafrancesco was director of marketing for Comcast Cable Communications, in Knoxville, Tenn.
