Bright House Networks announced today that Scott Horne was promoted to vice president and general manager for its Birmingham system.
In his new job, Horne is now responsible for the overall management of Bright House Networks’ Birmingham system, overseeing all administrative, operational, financial, marketing and technical functions.
He reports to Karen Broach, regional vice president of Bright House Networks.
“Scott brings leadership, passion and vision to his new position at Bright House Networks,” Broach said. “He has a proven track record in the operational and engineering aspects of the cable telecommunications industry and will be a great strategic leader for our Birmingham market.”
Prior to his promotion, Horne served as vice president of engineering for the Birmingham market, where he was responsible for the planning and execution of Bright House Networks’ advanced technology and product launches.
He also spent four years with Time Warner Cable, serving as director of engineering for the Time Warner Cable National Division and technical operations manager in Clarksburg, W.Va. Horne also worked as the technical operations manager for Bright House Networks in Florida.
