Verizon Wireless and Bright House Networks’ cross-promotional bundles have rolled into four more markets; Bakersfield, Calif., Birmingham, Ala., Indianapolis and Detroit.
The latest launches of the joint marketing effort, which include triple play services from Bright House Networks paired with Verizon Wireless’ service and tablets, followed up on the initial launch in Orlando late last year.
While Bright House Networks fiercely competes with Verizon in markets such as Orlando, the joint marketing effort came about from Verizon Wireless’ $3.9 billion purchase of wireless spectrum from Bright House Networks, Comcast, Time Warner Cable last year.
In the new markets, qualified customers can purchase packages of Bright House Networks video, Internet and voice services and Verizon Wireless smartphones and tablets from both companies, and they could be eligible to receive a Visa prepaid debit card valued up to $200, depending on the packages they pick.
“Our joint marketing with Bright House Networks is created on the foundation that mobility and entertainment are important in the lifestyles of our mutual customer base,” said Russ Preite, region president for Verizon Wireless. “Our mission is to deliver solid wireless and communications products with long-term value to the end user, resulting in an enjoyable all-around experience. Bright House Networks continues to deliver the highest quality entertainment and communications services in Bakersfield and the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is the perfect complement.”
Customers can choose their combination of services from a range of offers that include video, Internet, home phone and mobile service. On the low end, double-play bundles start at $97 a month for two years, while triple-play services, which includes Bright House Networks’ own phone service and interactive features such as Start Over, begin at $107.
The products and services are available at Verizon Wireless and authorized agent stores in the four cities, as well as through websites hosted by both companies.
