* Time Warner looks to C-COR for network health
Time Warner Cable is deploying C-COR Inc.’s Network Service Manager (NSM) across the board. Under the new master agreement, Time Warner Cable will begin to deploy C-COR’s platform in all systems starting later this year. The MSO has already deployed it in its Oceanic (Hawaii) and San Diego divisions.
The NSM is designed to monitor the operator’s service delivery infrastructure and to help system techs analyze and determine problems on the network, and locate failed components on the network.
* CSG launches broadband group
Billing and customer care company CSG Systems has formed a professional services group that will be divided into a Broadband Consulting Group and an Optimization Services Group.
The Broadband division will focus on CSG’s flagship billing and customer care platform, the CSG ACP (Advanced Convergent Platform). The Optimization group will work with CSG customers on workforce automation, customer care, and call center operations.
CSG has tapped VP of Professional Services Ron Vernon to lead the new organization.
* BelAir adds distribution partner
BelAir Networks has signed on Winncom Technologies to market and support BelAir’s wireless mesh products in the U.S. and Europe.
Winncom will use BelAir’s WiFi, WiMAX and 3G gear to target several customer segments, including hotels, apartments, campus and citywide networks.
