* ‘The View’ features ‘Ojo’ videophone
WorldGate Communications spread some holiday cheer Friday morning in the form of its “Ojo” videophone.
Following a holiday gift segment on ABC’s “The View,” WorldGate offered a pair of Ojos to the show’s audience of roughly 200 people. Dr. Gadget demonstrated the Ojo during the segment.
“Having the Ojo videophone featured on the ‘The View’ is a tremendous opportunity for us to reach a large global audience, and represents a significant step forward in implementing our consumer marketing strategy for this holiday season and beyond,” said WorldGate CEO Hal Krisbergh.
The Ojo has also been featured (via product placement deals) on Fox’s “24” and CBS’ “NCIS.”
* EchoStar adds European news channels to Dish line-up
EchoStar Communications nailed down rights to distribute EuroNews on its Dish Network service. EuroNews is Europe’s most-watched international news channel, and is expected to be popular with international customers in the U.S. Dish Network will carry EuroNews in English, Italian, German, French, Russian, and Portuguese.
