* Carroll to keynote ET ’06
Futurist and trends and innovation expert Jim Carroll will keynote the SCTE Conference on Emerging Technologies, set for Jan. 10-12 in Tampa, Fla.
Carroll, whose client list has included companies such as Daimler Chrysler, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Motorola, will offer his keynote address on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 9 a.m.
* Rogers Telecom appoints president
Randy Reynolds has been appointed president of Rogers Telecom Inc., a division of Rogers Communications that focuses on small, medium and large businesses across Canada.
Reynolds, who reports to Rogers Communications President & COO Nadir Mohamed, comes to Rogers with a telecom pedigree. At Bell Canada, a key competitor to Rogers, he was president and CEO of BCE Mobile, and served in that role at Bell Nexxia and Bell West.
* ADDvantage to resell Terayon gear
Terayon Communication Systems has tapped ADDvantage Technologies as a reseller partner.
Under the deal, several ADDvantage subsidiaries, including Tulsat, NCS, ComTech Services and Jones Broadband, will market Terayon’s line of digital video products, including its CP 7600G and DM 6400 Network CherryPicker, to cable operators in Canada, the United States and Latin America.
