* SeaChange to close Nasdaq on Dec. 21
SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC) will celebrate its 10th year as a publicly-traded company by closing Nasdaq trading on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006.
Bill Styslinger, SeaChange’s co-founder, president and CEO, and employees who have been with the company for 10 or more years will sound the board’s closing bell as part of a ceremony commemorating the event.
* A&E names slate of execs
A&E Television Networks (AETN) announced four new executive hires in the company’s Digital Media division. The division is responsible for gaining wider circulation of the company’s programming beyond the TV.
R. Lee Barstow, who has marketed everything from prescription drugs to pro wrestling, was named senior director, digital media, marketing & business development.
Lori Greene was hired as senior director, digital media, the History Channel and the Biography Channel, joining from Court TV.
Marcia Zellers, the new senior director, digital media, A&E and Crime & Investigation Network, joins the division from the American Film Institute.
Beth Harrison, the company’s new director of advanced TV and emerging media, had worked on Time Warner’s Mystro TV project, Oxygen’s VOD service, and Court TV.
