* Entone taps EMEA help
Entone Technologies, a maker of video-on-demand and IPTV gear and software, has hired Sarah Hackforth to the post of vice president of sales & operations, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Asia).
Hackforth most recently served as VP and GM of European operations for Terayon Communication Systems, and managing director, EMEA for Motorola’s broadband division.
* ViaSat DOCSIS gear is fit to ship
ViaSat Inc. said it has shipped more than 100,000 DOCSIS-based broadband satellite terminals.
ViaSat supplies Ku- and K-band versions of its SurfBeam DOCSIS system to customers such as WildBlue Communications, Telesat of Canada, Intelsat Ltd. and SES Americom.
* Byrd lands at Trilithic
Russ Byrd has joined broadband test equipment specialist Trilithic Inc. as director of business development. Byrd’s 20-year career includes slots at Willtek, Wavetek and Acterna (now part of JDSU).
“Russ Byrd’s understanding of the marketplace and his experience managing new technologies will be invaluable to our business strategies,” said Trilithic President Terry Bush, in a release.
