Jack Bryant has joined fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) specialist Wave7 Optics as vice president of worldwide sales.
Jack Bryant, a cable vet, most recently served as president and CEO of Concurrent Computer Corp., a maker of video-on-demand systems and real-time computer systems. During his 23-year telecom career, Bryant has also held management slots at ARRIS, General Instrument (now part of Motorola), and Scientific-Atlanta.
“Jack is a great fit for Wave7 as he has unparalleled experience in optical and other broadband network architectures and in the deployment of triple play services,” said Wave7 CEO Tom Tighe, in a release. “In addition, Jack has worked before with the executive management team here.”
Among its wares, Wave7 markets the Trident7, a “universal PON” FTTP platform that supports both the ITU EPON standard and the GPON standard, and the Last Mile Link system.
