Bright House Networks is now offering the Big Ten Conference’s TV Everywhere service, BTN2Go, to its Sports Pass subscribers.
The Big Ten Network (BTN) is a joint venture between the Big Ten Conference and Fox Networks.
BTN2Go features a live feed of all BTN television programming, including live game telecasts and extra football game channels, as well as part-time channels available on football Saturdays when BTN airs more than one game simultaneously.
BTN2Go viewers will also have on-demand access to BTN’s archives, including current season games from the Big Ten Conference’s television partners. Additional programming includes game highlights, coaches’ shows and original shows.
“Bright House Networks is thrilled to offer our customers BTN2Go,” said Kevin Hyman, Bright House’s executive vice president for cable operations. “The Big Ten Conference is home to some of the finest sports programs in the nation, and it is exciting that now our fans don’t have to worry about missing a single minute of exciting action.”
The online service is available at no additional cost to Bright House Networks subscribers who receive BTN as part of their TV channel lineup. BTN2Go requires Bright House Networks’ video customers to be signed up for a “My Services” account.
BTN said it expects to launch apps for the iPad and iPhone during the 2011-12 football season, and for Android devices early next year.
Separately, a spokeswoman for Bright House Networks said this morning that its iPad app was “coming soon.”
Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable are also offering BTN2Go services to their subscribers.
