C-COR.net Corp. said Cable Bahamas Ltd. has selected its FTTmaX platform to support a field trial.
The trial, which will offer voice, video and data services via fiber-to-the-premise technology, will use an FTTmaX headend for the operator’s central office and optical network units (ONUs), which are deployed in the home or business venue.
“Deploying a customer premise device that can deliver the triple play of services…over a single strand of fiber on a passive network has always been Cable Bahamas’ vision,” said MSO Vice President of Information Technology André Foster, in a release.
Cable Bahamas provides cable services on 16 Bahamian islands.
