The Cable Center will be pulling up stakes from its Denver headquarters to host its annual Cable Hall of Fame induction dinner at May’s Cable Connection – Spring in Los Angeles.
“The Cable Center’s Cable Hall of Fame celebration is a great fit with The Cable Show 2010,” said Kyle McSlarrow, president and CEO of the NCTA. “The Cable Show, which annually attracts virtually all of the key players in cable, offers the perfect opportunity to honor the leaders and innovators who have had such an enormous impact on our industry, and on our society at large.”
This past year, the Cable Center’s Hall of Fame ceremony was part of the Cable Connection – Fall week of events that was held in Denver. Before that, the Cable Hall of Fame inductions were typically held in the fall at The Cable Center on the University of Denver campus.
Some organizations felt their events were overshadowed when they were rolled into two separate weeks last year. Last week, Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) and the Walter Kaitz Foundation announced they would hold their Diversity Week events separate from this year’s spring and fall cable events.
The Class of 2010 Cable Hall of Fame inductees will be announced in the coming weeks.
