Cablevision recently expanded its Spanish-language programming with the launch of MundoFox.
MundoFox is a new national network that offers original news and entertainment video content, as well as exclusive access to sporting events. MundoFox will also feature its signature “teleseries,” shorter-run series with an emphasis on action-oriented storylines and diverse locations.
“MundoFox is a terrific, high-quality addition to our expanding array of Spanish-language programming,” said Bradley Feldman, Cablevision’s vice president of video product management. “We believe this will be an important new national network, featuring fresh content specifically for Latino audiences, and a perfect complement to our existing Spanish-language programming, notably our flagship iO en espanol package, which spans more than 45 Spanish-language TV channels. In all, Cablevision customers now have access to more than 50 Spanish-language channels.”
MundoFox will be included in Cablevision’s basic tier and above. Initially offered in standard-definition, Cablevision expects to launch an HD feed of the channel by the end of the year.
