Cablevision Monterrey has begun the commercial introduction of a 50 Mbps tier of broadband, after several years of trials and tests. The company is using DOCSIS 3.0 technology supplied by Cisco.
Cablevision Monterrey said it is also set to offer voice and data communications services, managed services, and cloud services for small- and medium-size businesses.
The new services also support IPv6 with advanced network capabilities, address space expansion, device mobility support and easier device operation.
The operator said it will roll out its service in phases to its customers in Monterrey, who will be able to select additional services according to their needs.
Cablevision Monterrey is the commercial brand of TVI, a company formed by Grupo Multimedios and Televisa.
