Cablevision recently promoted John Trierweiler to executive vice president of product management.
Trierweiler will continue to oversee all of Cablevision’s advanced television, high-speed Internet and voice products delivered to residential and small- and medium-size business customers. He will also continue to report to Cablevision’s president of cable and communications, John Bickham.
During Trierweiler’s tenure, Cablevision has developed a number of product-specific features and enhancements including DVR Plus, iO Shortcuts, Optimum Select and Optimum Online Ultra, as well as cross-platform integrations, including iO Photos on TV, Caller ID on TV, Remote Access DVR and authenticated online video streaming.
“John has managed our Product Management Organization during a period when our company has deployed numerous high-value and industry-leading product innovations,” Bickham said. “John’s leadership and drive have been instrumental in bringing these award-winning products and services to market.”
Trierweiler joined Cablevision from Time Warner Cable in 2006, where he served as vice president of marketing strategy.
Trierweiler began his career with the N.W. Ayer Advertising Agency in 1985. He joined the H.J. Heinz Co. in 1987 and held product management positions in the StarKist and Pet Products groups. In 1990, he joined Bumble Bee Seafoods, where he became the head of marketing in 1992. He entered the cable industry in 1998, when he joined Time Warner Cable as vice president of marketing and sales for the company’s Los Angeles division.
