Sandy, Utah-based Telarus recently announced that it had entered into an agreement with Cablevision to distribute its triple-play business services.
The deal opened the door to the 1,200 independent commercial communication consultants who source through Telarus to prequalify, recommend and sell Optimum Business products to their clientele. Financial terms of the agreement weren’t available.
“We are excited to be the newest addition to the Optimum Business channel program,” added Adam Edwards, president of Telarus. “We have extensive experience supporting the Cables, and we have invested in technology that makes it easy for our partners to source their products through us. Adding Optimum to our portfolio just makes sense, giving us a complete portfolio of cable-based Internet and voice products that are in such high demand.”
Prior to launch, Telarus programmed its patented GeoQuote system to accurately qualify addresses deemed serviceable by Optimum Business, along with the specific price plans and available promotions.
“The message this sends to our partners and the agent community in general is ‘Telarus is your source for cables, especially Optimum,'” said Robert Butler, vice president of sales for Telarus. “There are a lot of businesses in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut who are looking for fast Internet, voice, PRI and TV service that will be well served by Optimum, and we look forward to helping our agent partners find those opportunities.”
Optimum is the fourth cable operator to contract with Telarus for distribution, following Comcast Business Class, Time Warner Cable Business Class and Charter Business.
